Principal's Report to the Annual General Meeting
Tuesday 20 November 2018

St Munchin’s has experienced another rewarding and eventful year as we continue to review and reflect on our practices to ensure that we further enhance and implement, engaging, challenging and rewarding learning experiences. As we ponder on the achievements and outcomes of the students’ learning and growth experiences throughout the year, we recognise that student development has been scaffolded through careful planning and selection of appropriate strategies and programs.

School Curriculum Plan 2015

St Munchin’s Catholic Parish School is a community of faith, with Jesus as its model. Our motto, Sequere Veritatem, ‘Follow Truth’, helps students to focus on what is truly important to the school. Religious education is the first learning area and it is a valued part of the daily curriculum.

Strategic Plan 2016-2018

This document is organised around four key elements established by the Catholic Education Commission of Western Australia (SECWA): Learning, Engagement, Accountability and discipleship (LEAD). It outlines the school’s strategic priorities and the outcomes against which our performance will be measured.

The priorities articulated in this Strategic Plan are focused on strengthening our fundamentals. They are intended to;

  • Advance the mission of the school
  • Build on our strengths
  • Be consistent with our core values

In formulating this Strategic Plan, the school Leadership Team has undertaken a thorough and inclusive process involving collaboration with the School Improvement Team and consultation with all staff. Through this process we have assessed how well we are going as a school, identified emerging concerns and discussed new trends and opportunities likely to be faced in the future. We are appreciative of the feedback provided through community consultation and look forward to continuing our partnership with parents over the next three years as we share our commitment to turn our aspirations for the school into a clear path forward.
